Well, today's 2Ps blog challenge was too fun to pass up! I could talk scrap supplies all day, as my poor dh can attest! But, it is so much fun to see new textures, colors and patterns in the scrapbook stores, so how can I resist sharing?
Fave patterned paper line right now: Basic Grey Oh Baby Girl. THis is such a bright fun line! Perfect for my preschool and toddler girl pictures.
Fave kind of ribbon: The kind that is sold in the store. Seriously, I do not discriminate. I do love using Grosrain, printed with fun patterns or plain, as the texture makes it nice to work with. I love rick rack too.
Fave embellishment you just love using: Prima Flowers and Eyelets, now that I have a Crop-A-Dile!
Fave font: Arial or Arial narrow. Perfect for all my typed journaling boxes.
Fave cardstock: Hard to say. I use a lot of Bazzill, but like the DCWV textured stacks for the colors they offer. I also discovered Prism recently, and it is yummy.
Fave rubons: Making Memories and Ginx Alphabet Rub-ons. They go on like butter! Scrapworks are pretty nice too.
Fave alphabet stickers: American Crafts all the way--any font, any time!
Your most fave scrapbooker, someone you look up to.. and admire??
Without a doubt, there are two. On the 2Peas board, I love Irish Eyes work. She is amazing. In the scrap celeb world, Cathy Z. She is a very real scrapper, and I am learning so much from her books on what REALLY matters in scrapping. I love her work, and her blog is on my must read list!

Confessions of a LifeLong Reader
I am a reader. Plain and simple. From the first Dr Seuss books thru the works of Shakespeare to the second reading of the DaVinci Code, I am hooked.
So what am I reading right now? Well, I just got done re-reading Davinci Code, and I also read another Leonardo related novel, The Secret Supper. But, as a bit of brain candy, I just picked up the new Amanda Quick novel, Lie Before Midnight. Love to read a romance novel every now and then as a break. Dave has also been pestering me to read a couple of his books, so I also have Michael Crichton's Timeline and Raymond Feist's Faerie Tale to look at this summer.

Here's an idea...

Wow! I did it
So this is it. I have created a blog. Not sure what to do with it, but am excited to get a start on it.
What is it about the scrapper mindset? I read a great snippet in "Child" magazine this month that compared scrapping today to quilting bees. We get together at a crop to socialize & create, much as women did many generations ago to quilt and chat. It was interesting, and I could instantly see the correlation. It seems as if bacic societal needs are still being met, even though the means by which we meet them have changed. To which I say, cool beans!
Oh, and I got a distinct pleasure in seeing Cathy Z quoted in the article too! ;)
